When visiting our office, you’re likely to notice right away that our team is a little different than at other places. And we think that’s a good thing! Apart from providing exemplary dental care for our patients and making sure everyone’s visit is a fantastic one, we also like to have fun. Our staff has been with us for several years, and we all know and like each other quite a bit. You can be sure when you come for your check-ups and cleanings, you’ll be greeted with friendly familiar faces and a gentle, experienced touch. We take pride in running on time, forming great relationships with our patients, and making sure every visit is an extraordinary one!
Meet Our Hygienists
Meghan - Dental Hygienist
Meghan began her dental career after graduating from the dental hygiene program at Lord Fairfax College in 2006. She is an active member of the vocal component for Virginia Dental Hygiene Association. This allows her to a stay up-to-date on the newest and most effective tools and techniques to give her patients the best dental experience possible.
Meghan takes tremendous pride in educating her patients on how to keep their mouths healthy. She also prioritizes providing her patients with a fantastic dental cleaning, always with kindness and care. “My goal for my patients when they come to their appointment is for them to feel like instead of going to the dentist, they’re spending time with a good friend.”
When not in the office she enjoys spending time with her family and their dog Aria and cat Ovi. She is a huge hockey fan, and she and her husband enjoy rooting for the Washington Capitals.
Kyla - Dental Hygienist
Kyla originally worked at our office back in the day with Dr. Gardner, and our team is thrilled to have her return here after many years. She has lived in Rockingham County most of her life and has a true passion for helping patients improve their oral and systemic health. She is known at our office for her magnetic personality and thorough yet gentle bedside manner.
Kyla earned an Associate’s Degree from Virginia Western Community College in May of 2012. Kyla then transferred to Old Dominion University, earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in 2015, where she majored in Dental Hygiene, minoring in Community Health. She is certified in CPR and local anesthesia.
Outside of the office, Kyla enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, gardening, and canning.
Rachel - Dental Hygienist
Brittany - Dental Hygienist
Brittany is a proud native of Rockingham County with a passion for dentistry which began in 2011. She started her journey by completing dental assisting school at Massanutten Technical Center. Afterwards, she pursued further education at Blue Ridge Community College and from there, transferred to Laurel Ridge Community College where she earned her degree in Dental Hygiene.
Brittany’s love for her patients goes beyond performing routine cleanings and procedures, it’s rooted in a deep sense of care and dedication to their overall well-being. She takes the necessary time to connect with each individual, offering personalized advice while assuring they feel comfortable throughout the visit. To Brittany, in addition to oral health, it’s about building trust and creating a positive experience which encourages lifelong care and confidence in each patient’s health journey. Coupled with compassion and going the extra measure, Brittany makes sure every patient leaves with a cleaner smile and a true sense of being genuinely cared for.
Brittany can be found in her spare time, volunteering with the Bridgewater Historical Society, where she enjoys researching local history. Fun fact, she can also be found metal detecting throughout the valley. When she’s not immersed in these activities, Brittany treasures creating memories with her family.
Meet Our Dental Assistants
Yan - Dental Assistant
Yan is one of our dedicated dental assistants who works chairside with Dr. Janowski. She is recognized within our practice for her friendly personality and strong work ethic. Yan excels with her ability to make patients feel welcome and at ease during dental procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and well-informed throughout their visit. She consistently goes the extra mile in supporting both patients and coworkers with aiding in the office to run efficiently.
Yan is originally from China where she earned her bachelor’s degree from Tianjin Agricultural University. After relocating to our area where she resides in Broadway, she obtained her dental assistant certification from Accelerated Academy. While away from the practice, Yan enjoys her free time cooking, exploring our valley and other states and most importantly, making memories with her family and friends.
Jennifer - Dental Assistant
Jennifer has a wealth of knowledge of dental assisting and over 17 years of work experience, currently working alongside Dr. Curtin. It’s her goal at the beginning of each restorative appointment in making patients comfortable and well-informed throughout. Jennifer is a great conversationalist which allows patients to quickly feel much at ease which provides for an enjoyable and personable visit. Jennifer exhibits passion for dental assisting and has found it to be a very rewarding career. Out of the office, Jennifer enjoys spending time and traveling with her husband and three grown children, which also includes those with 4 legs. She also has a fondness for baking sweet treats.
Jennifer grew up in a military family and has lived in various countries and states. She is thankful to be settled locally and enjoys calling the valley her home and absolutely loves making a difference by being part of our team.
Meet Our Office & Front Desk Team
Tamara - Office Manager & Social Media Coordinator
Tamara is our beloved office manager and is eager to warmly welcome and assist our patients. She greatly values this opportunity to build relationships with everyone we treat and enjoys engaging with many patients outside of the office from the grocery store, local music venues to other events. She leads a very active lifestyle and has a special love for the outdoors. In her free time, Tamara, alongside her husband Jim, enjoys hiking, dancing, gym work-outs and long walks with their lab, Bentley. She and her husband frequently enjoy exploring new adventures within driving distance (and sometimes beyond) which leads them to new coffee shops and pausing to appreciate sunsets. She also cherishes all the moments spent with her three wonderful children and their families, bonus children and 3 precious grandchildren, who keep her quite busy with sleepovers and activities. Tamara truly values all the intentional memories created with extended family, friends and those within her church community.
Gina - Front Desk & Reception
Gina is one of the first people to warmly greet patients when they arrive for their appointments. Patients and staff alike love her for her extensive dental knowledge, kindness, and humor.
Gina has a beloved husband Robert and two grown children Donovan and Victoria. She treasures time spent outside the office with her tightly knit family, friends, and church community. Among her hobbies are reading, crocheting, crafting, and spending time outdoors. She is also an avid animal lover and cherishes her newly adopted family members, a dog Missy Boots and five treasured kitties.
